Find and Download Apps
Note: This applies to technology kits issued fall 2018 through spring 2022. Changes were made to the Digital Flagship initiative after spring 2022.
For any app you want to download on iOS, you can use the App Store. This is Apple’s official market for games and applications and is your best resource for finding and downloading useful apps.
To get to the App Store, look for a blue icon on the home screen—it’s the one whose logo looks like a capital 'A' made out of popsicle sticks.
Two important things to keep in mind:
- If you need to purchase apps, know that you’ll be doing so with your own money. The good news, though, is that there are plenty of paid apps that are both useful and cheap.
- Make sure you get familiar with your Apple ID login because you’ll be asked to enter your Apple ID password whenever you download a new app.
